Farm-to-table flavors inspired by Uganda and the forest
Our Philosophy
At Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodges, dining is more than a meal — it's a celebration of Uganda's rich culinary heritage and the bountiful produce of the Bwindi highlands.
Our kitchen garden supplies fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruits daily, while our partnerships with local farmers ensure that meats, dairy, and staples come from the surrounding communities. Chef Grace and her team craft menus that honour traditional Ugandan recipes alongside international favourites.

From Our Kitchen

Crispy golden fillets
This dish is a perfect balance of texture and flavor, with crisp golden fillets layered over soft potatoes and fresh vegetables, finished with a zesty lime wedge and served alongside a rich creamy sauce. The plating is simple yet elegant, making it both appetizing and visually inviting. If you want, I can also give you versions for menu wording, social media, or hotel/restaurant marketing.
